Fortalecimiento Institucional a 250 Jardines Infantiles Privados en Bogotá.
This project is the result of a partnership between the Genesis Foundation as well as various public and private sector entities, all looking to improve the quality of life for children under six years of age living in Bogotá. This alliance, which includes el Fondo Para la Acción Ambiental y la Niñez, la Fundación Corona, la Fundación Éxito and the office of the Mayor of Bogotá, suggests, in response, the need for ensuring that all children in Bogotá receive high–quality primary education.
As a result of the emergence of the “política de Primer Infancia” and the necessity of those institutions caring for infants to comply with certain quality control standards, this partnership aims to provide 250 private kindergartens with a free service to strengthen their institutions. The process will involve the design and implementation of a strategy used to evaluate the institution’s management, administration, and pedagogical approach. The hope is that the project will in turn provide the setting for exchange and community work among the schools involved in the network. The strengthening of these 250 kindergartens throughout Bogotá will help ensure that all they city’s children will receive quality education, thereby allowing for their comprehensive development and preparing them to enroll and remain in primary school.
Similarly to the other partners, support from the Genesis Foundation is not merely economic; each organization also brings its own expertise in the various areas related to the execution and success of the project.
