Genesis Foundation contributes to the construction of a school in Mosquera to support children affected by the seasonal rains.
Monday, November 28, 2011 at 05:15PM Over 1000 children and youngsters in the municipality of Mosquera, that were affected by the seasonal rains in Colombia, are now enjoying a new educational center. The school Compartir Mosquera (3200 square meters) was constructed in seven months, and is the result of an alliance between more than 30 public and private partners that donated to make this dream come true.
The first lady of Colombia, Maria Clemencia de Santos, commented during the inauguration of the school on November 25, 2011 "This construction is an example of efficiency, quality and transparent use of resources, it is a wonderful example of the benefits of a public-private alliance".
Genesis Foundation is proud to have contributed to this cause with $50,000, becoming one of the biggest private donors supporting the construction of the school.
