Project Description
Is an institution that focuses on children from 3-5 years old. The preschool is located in Bucaramanga, Santander and it provides underserved children with the opportunities to have access to a healthy environment and to other adequate services according to their age and background.

Justification
Investing in early childhood education increases the children’s opportunities to be successful in elementary school and improves the efficiency of education in the long run. Investing in early education will decrease the public expenses for social assistance caused by students dropping out of the educational system, repeating grades, or joining illegal activities. Early education programs help decrease gender problems and socio-economic inequalities.
Methodology
WORK WITH CHILDREN: Work is performed with each child individually according to his/her specific living conditions. The pedagogical work with children includes the development of their psycho-motor, artistic, communication and inter-personal skills.
WORK WITH FAMILIES: The staff is trained to understand the families’ needs and structure. The objective is to have a positive impact in the dynamic of the family in order to encourage parents and guardians to become truly committed to the overall academic performance of their children. The preschool works with families to involve them in the development process of their children and community. Additionally, there is a psycho-social accompaniment for the families.
PERMANENT WORK WITH TEACHERS: teachers are constantly trained to assure that they are prepared to face all the challenges posed by the educational system.
